Project Developer will support the development and growth of office capabilities in executing contracting solutions. Key activities will include working with clients and office team members on scope development, overall acquisition strategy, estimating, and contract development for performance contracts, complex turnkey and other contracting offerings. The remainder of project developer's time will be spent working with account managers to identify and qualify opportunities and with the operations group to effectively execute contracting projects.


99. Directly execute the Project Development process for comprehensive solution opportunities.
99. Ability to establish strong teams utilizing both internal Trane personnel as well as external teammates.
99. Ability to audit an existing mechanical system and recommend solutions to improve.
99. Ability to understand construction methods/practices and communicate and direct subcontractors.
99. Knowledgeable and skilled in Project Management and its processes. Ability to recommend plans for staffing PM/CM locally on-site and oversee projects through construction.
99. Continually validate the effectiveness of contracting processes and identify and develop improvements.
99. Support the account managers for efforts including training, consulting and business direction.
99. Provide sound "business judgment." Weighing risk and reward in conjunction with account managers.
99. Provide marketplace feedback to leadership, including competitive information, customer expectations, industry trends, etc.
99. Ability to meet short- and long-term deadlines while functioning within a team environment.
99. Effectively meet the needs of internal and external customers.
99. Demonstrate ability to cope with stress and maintain a pleasant and cooperative temperament with internal and external customers.
99. Demonstrate ability to perform mental tasks such as making decisions, learning, thinking rationally and exercising good judgment.
99. Other duties as assigned.


+ Four-year degree in Engineering, Technical or Business required, advanced degree (MBA) desired.
+ Systems/HVAC/Controls background.
+ Minimum 5 years experience in owner-direct acquisition roles.
+ Minimum 5 years Project Management experience.
+ Minimum 10 years in Systems/HVAC/Controls industry.
+ Minimum 1 year in Performance Contracting experience.
+ Leadership experience beneficial.
