Junior Manufacturing Engineer

Fort Walton Beach, FL

Qualis Corporation is seeking a Junior, Manufacturing Engineer supporting the AF Nuclear Weapons Center Nuclear Weapons Acquisition Division, AFLCMC/NDB, Eglin AFB FL. This Division has responsibility for developing, testing, and producing systems and components related to nuclear strategic weapon systems for our nation's warfighters. These products include the B61-12 Tailkit Assembly and the LRSO cruise missile.

Location of task performance will Eglin AFB, FL.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

+ Advise and assist with implementation of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) tenets

+ Planning and Conduct of Manufacturing Maturity Assessments and Manufacturing Maturity Plans

+ Advise and provide support to Producibility Analysis and influence early design efforts to augment Design for Reliability DfR) principles.

+ Evaluate Process characterization and use statistics to understand variability. Identify potential solution sets for reducing variability.

+ Identify and manage Critical Manufacturing Processes

+ Assess and Verify Quality Assurance Efforts at Prime and throughout Supply Chain. Process Control and Variability Reduction.

+ Develop and utilize Process FMECAs to mature manufacturing and quality processes and procedures.

+ Provide support to and key interface to Contractor Team and maintain "Owning the Technical Baseline" (OTB) insight for Program Office on Manufacturing IPT activities and their impact to Program execution.

Minimum Requirements

+ Bachelor-s Degree in Engineering or Science with +5 years of relevant experience; or Master-s Degree in Engineering or Science with +3 years of experience

+ Candidate must be self-proficient and extremely well organized.

+ Applicants should have highly developed interpersonal skills permitting productive interaction with technical and non-technical professionals.

+ Extensive experience with Microsoft Office applications is required.

+ Applicants must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

+ Travel is estimated at 50% annually.

+ U.S. citizenship is required.

Security Clearance

+ Must possess and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret clearance (updated within six years)

+ Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Top Secret Clearance.
